Interview with Mitzy the Cavalier!

Recently, I interviewed my friend Mitzy, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who I met on Twitter @MitzyCavalier. She is lovely and such a good friend to me. You can also follow her on Instagram at the same name to see her gorgeous photos!

Hi there, Mitzy!
So, how long have you been on Twitter?
 I've been on twitter since 15th December 2012- almost 2 months!
What/who inspired you to make a Twitter account?
You did actually; my mum showed me your blog in YKC Fetch magazine and I thought it was cool so I tried my paw at it!

When did you get Instagram?
My first Instagram photo says it was 10 weeks ago so that would be about the start of December I think.
I know you have a very popular account on Instagram- you have over 600 followers!
Any tips for becoming just as successful?

I don't have any tips as such but I just started hashtagging my photos and putting a minimum of 1 on Instagram everyday! Interact with your followers and follow other people/dogs, comment on their photo saying how cute they are and that will promote you as well. Also, try to give comments on your photo as well as # them! I always put a watermark of @mitzycavalier on mine to make sure that no one can take the photos.
I might have to put your tips to use on my own account!
What's your favourite toy/treat?
 My favourite treat is the rare PRAWN CRACKER that my mum sneaks for me when she has a special Chinese meal for dinner from the take away! They are the best but very special! I also love my giant octopus which smells of duck and quacks and all the legs have a squeaker at the end of them and are made of crinkly paper! Also doggie chocolate drops, I'll do anything for those...
Prawn crackers... Very unusual treat there Mitzy! I will have to pester the humans to let me try one next time they have a Chinese.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Does sleeping count? I'm a couch potato but love a cuddle! I also enjoy going to nursing homes with my mum to do my Therapet work! I love the people in the homes and I also get cuddles and treats-what's not to love?!
Man, that does sound good!
Do you compete in competitions?
I've only ever done a companion show and that was for fun! I'd like to do proper showing but I have one squint tooth... Mum would like to do it with me too I think. My sister Millie does agility competitions!
Aw, Mitzy, you're very beautiful anyway; I'm sure you'd win any dog show!
Do you live with any other animals?
Yes, my half sister Millie; we have the same dad. She is also a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and is 3 weeks younger than me. She is smaller than me and is an agility dog!
Also Bella, she is a Black and Tan cavalier and is 14 months old. She only arrived on Saturday 9th so I'm still getting used to her but we are starting to get along fine; I'm just a bit territorial as I'm the dominant dog here!
It must be pretty awesome having two sisters; surely you must get 3 times as many toys?!
Any aims that you'd like to complete?
I'd like to receive some sort of award for my therapy work. I would love to get a big one from the Queen for example but I know I need to work for it!

My Social-Networking Accounts!

I thought that in this blog post I would let you know which media sites I am on.
 Currently, I am mostly on Twitter @Jasperthedoggie as I love talking to my friends that I met on there- yep, I've met a LOT of friends on Twitter! To be honest, when I set that account up on September 29th 2011 (not sure how I remember the date; it's just stuck in my mind!), I never thought that I'd meet 1,900 doggies/dog lovers... It has been pretty wild but I LOVE it.
Also, I have recently set up an Instagram account under the title @JasperSpringerSpaniel. Instagram is awesome because every time I refresh my page on it, another load of doggie pictures come up!
In addition, I do a have Facebook account but I rarely use it; it's only there in case I need to access something via Facebook! If you'd like to add me as a friend, my name is Jasper Ess on it.
That's all of them (I think!) so if I haven't added you to one of my accounts already, I look forward to social-networking with you!

End of the Holidays...

It's now the end of the Christmas holidays which means the humans have gone back to work. Boooo.
I've loved spending more time with them all but sadly this time had to arrive at some point. However, I've got to think of the positive: I get more sleep! Sleeping is probably up there amongst my favourite things; I love tweeting my friends, eating sausages, blogging, eating sausages, going out on walkies and eating sausages. Another thing that I can now add onto my list of favourite things is Instagram. Only last Sunday did I set up an account on there so now I can upload lots and lots of photos. Also, another thing I like about the app is that I can look at loads of photos of all you doggies out there! It's fascinating to see how similar I am to some springers but how different I look to others... And I like the fact that others also have my awesome hairdo- the Spike!
