Who Doesn't Love a Christmas Jumper?

On Friday 12th, thousands of people across the country wore their wackiest Christmas jumpers to raise money (over £2,000,000 has been counted so far!) for Save the Children and us doggies were definitely not ones to miss out on this Festive Friday. Some of you may know that my humans have a slight obsession with Christmas doggie attire- my already wardrobe consisted of matching leg warmers, scarf and two jumpers- but, of course, they couldn't resist buying yet another woolly jumper when they found one that mildly resembled their own.
Since then, I have been modelling my new sweater, and this is the result...

I have a strong adoration for the sound of leaves crunching underfoot

My 'Great Dane' Look

Oh yes, I am very proud of my jumper

Ya lookin' at me?

Wistful look across the park

Have your family all got matching Christmas jumpers? My humans love a good ol' woolly sweater...

What a Marvellous Day.

First and foremost: I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas yesterday, whether you spent it with your family and friends or in your pyjamas (or both!).
I, for one, had a BRILLIANT day.
At 9am, I was the first one in my family to open my presents as obviously I am the most important member of the family. As you may know, I ADORE sinking my teeth into a load of wrapping paper and shredding it into pieces less than a centimetre long so when I saw the size of my two presents, I knew that I had a lot of work to do. However, 20 seconds later, I'd completed my task and laying there before my eyes was a loooovely new bed and a Nina Ottosson game- woop! I started tackling the puzzle whilst it was in the box and was so pleased to find 3 treats hiding behind each obstacle,
Ripping open those presents...

I've got this thing in the bag...
Mastered it!

As much as my humans would like to put the presents underneath the Christmas tree, they know that a certain someone is always quite keen to have the first look at what is inside each of them...!
Looking angelic on my brand-new bed...
Following the unwrapping (or unripping, I should say!), my humans and I went to our relatives' house for a delicious roast and more gift-exchanging. Despite not getting any Christmas lunch IN THE SLIGHTEST (outrageous, I know), I had an incredible day with all the family. Perhaps I'll get roast leftovers later on? *crosses paws*
I wish you all a fantastic Boxing Day and a memorable last week of 2014!

Christmas Time, Sausages and... More Sausages!

Was Christmas the best day ever or was Christmas the best day ever?
Man, it was awesome.
Last Wednesday, I woke up to complete silence. On a normal day, I would be fine with this as, before long, I would doze off again. However, this was definitely no normal day: this was CHRISTMAS day. And the humans weren't making any noise.
They were all still fast asleep.
To me, this makes no sense. Santa had been and gone and they were wasting valuable time that could be spent opening the presents that had hopefully been delivered (I say 'hopefully' there as obviously you can't just assume Santa Paws has been; only the well-behaved ones get treated by the man in the red suit!).
Finally though, after a very long time howling, the humans came down the stairs and let me out of my bedroom to a tree surrounded by presents.
Santa had come. Yippeeeee!

The rest of the day seemed a bit of a blur, to be honest. All I remember is ripping my teeth into every bit of wrapping paper I could find and helpfully distributing it all across the floor. I received the BIGGEST rawhide candy cane you can ever imagine from Santa and then contently chewed that for a long time while the humans ate an entire turkey without giving me even a slither of it. Luckily, because of the rawhide, I forgave my humans for that mistake of theirs.
Christmas truly was an incredible day and I hope everyone's was just as good as mine.

Christmas Eve!

Santa is on his way- and I could not be more excited.
December is always an extremely busy month in my house and, this year, the tree was only bought on the 22nd December. Personally, I think this is a weeny bit ridiculous. Had the humans got their act together, I could've been playing with (or 'attacking', as the humans like to call it) the baubles on the tree for weeks! But, no. The tree only got decorated THIS MORNING. I've forgiven them now though as the tree is finally sorted and so I can play 'Tug the Baubles Until They Come Off the Tree and Chew Them' to my heart's content. Sadly, the humans seem to have no element of fun in them so always end my games within a couple of seconds but those seconds make my Christmas all the more fun.
Earlier, my humans dressed me up in my Christmas jumper and scarf so now I'm feeling more festive than ever before. Before I leave to have another go at getting those baubles, I'd like to wish all my readers a very merry Christmas. Have a wonderful day!

P.S Ssssh, don't tell anybody that I was on the sofa...!

December Already?!

Woah, this year has flown by.
It's already December!
December marks the beginning of winter which-I hope- means that snow is on its way. Snow is my favourite type of weather as it's basically water that the humans can't keep me away from! It also means that I can open my brand-new advent calendar and receive one delicious treat per day. On the first day of advent, the humans had to help me realise how incredible advent calendars are. At first, I thought it was just a box but, as soon as I gave it a good sniffing over, my tail started wagging one million times a minute!
Here's a clip of me opening Day 1 of my doggie advent calendar:

Man, it was fun!

End of the Holidays...

It's now the end of the Christmas holidays which means the humans have gone back to work. Boooo.
I've loved spending more time with them all but sadly this time had to arrive at some point. However, I've got to think of the positive: I get more sleep! Sleeping is probably up there amongst my favourite things; I love tweeting my friends, eating sausages, blogging, eating sausages, going out on walkies and eating sausages. Another thing that I can now add onto my list of favourite things is Instagram. Only last Sunday did I set up an account on there so now I can upload lots and lots of photos. Also, another thing I like about the app is that I can look at loads of photos of all you doggies out there! It's fascinating to see how similar I am to some springers but how different I look to others... And I like the fact that others also have my awesome hairdo- the Spike! So, if you have an Instagram account and want to check out my photos, follow me @JaspertheSpringer.
Can't wait to see your photos- talk soon, Jasper x
