I'm so sorry for not posting since July- I have been extremely busy with the Olympics and then the humans went away to France, leaving me here in England with friends and family. Today is sadly the last day of the London 2012 Games and I think everyone, including me, will miss it loads! However, this week is Puppy Awareness Week (PAW) so let's all embrace it and get involved. During the 8-15th September, many events are taking place to raise awareness of puppy farms, a horrible and inhumane way of breeding puppies for money. The owners of these farms does this only to raise money for themselves and does not think about caring for the bred puppy. The aim of PAW is to celebrate the fun times that puppies bring to our lives while informing potential puppy owners about the responsible way to buy one. If less people buy a puppy from these farms, less puppy farms will exist due to lack of revenue. The Kennel Club's objective is to stamp out puppy farms for once and for all so no puppies have to endure such cruelty. A recent survey conducted by Atomik for the Kennel Club has found that 25% of people could have a puppy farmed pup. For more information, visit http://www.pupaid.org/puppy-farming/ and http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/paw. I hope you all had a fantastic summer and enjoy the Paralympic Closing Ceremony tonight!
