Summer has, well and truly, finished. The rain has been pouring down for hours and hours. I should be listening to the pitter patter of the rain on the window but no; all I can hear is the sound of the humans moaning on and on and on about the weather. Groan. What is it about the rain that they hate so much? I mean, come on humans, the walks we go on now are the best- we're practically walking through water! We come home absolutely SOAKED which means it's time for only one thing: to jump on the sofa and let the cushions dry us up- what's not to love?
For some, strange reason the humans don't really like the idea of drenching the sofa. They usually bark away at me if I snuggle up on their favourite pillow, all lovely and wet. It's alright though; I just ignore them. They can whinge for as long as they want but there is nooooo way I am going to move from my warm (but slightly damp) spot when all they can offer me in return for crawling off the couch is the cold, hard floor. Sometimes, when the humans are being extra mean, they DRAG me off the sofa when I'm snoozing. Talk about a lack of manners! Would they like it if I woke them up in the middle of the night, howling away? I wouldn't even DREAM of doing that, of course not...!

An Amazing Day!
Today, I had the most awesome day ever!
For my human's birthday, she was bought a huge basket for her bike. Now, this basket isn't any normal basket- it's a basket just for me! As it was very sunny today, my humans decided that today was the day to use it. One of my humans set the basket up on the back of their bike, lifted me up and then placed me inside. A lid was pulled over the top of me to stop me from falling out and then we were off on our adventure!
I didn't have a clue where we were going but the whole way there I stuck my nose through a gap and sniffed, sniffed, sniffed. Man, it was soooo nice and refreshing! After a while, I began to start smelling a different animal but I just couldn't think of what it was. And then it came to me- we were going to the BIG park again, the one with the deer! My tail started wagging 100 times an hour as my humans pushed open the gate and carried on cycling through. As I was so excited, I started making noises to express my feelings. The park is massive so we could've been going anywhere but my day was made even better when I realised that we were going to my favourite stream- eeeek!
My humans gradually started slowing down and then stopped to let me out. Within a second, I was in the stream, springing through the water.
I played for ages in there and, occasionally, I found sticks that I wanted to play with. At one point, two large doggies came bounding over to me and then went on either side of the stream. They wouldn't let me out! I ran and ran but no, there was no way I was getting out. Not that I was bothered of course! It just meant that I had to stay in the lovely water- ah...
Sadly, my humans decided that it was time to head home after quite a while. I was so exhausted so laid down a bit more on the way back in my lovely, new basket.
At home, I slept for ages with the sun beating down on me... It was very, very relaxing.
Hopefully, the sun will continue to shine over my area and then we can repeat the day very soon!

Walk in the Park!
At the weekend, I went on a long walk at my local big park; yes, you heard me. not just the usual one, the BIG one. As you probably know by now, my human is slightly obsessed with taking photos of me- she has taken over 1,000 on her phone which she only got in December- so I thought I'd share some with you of my awesome walk! It has loads of streams and ponds... Woop woop!
