Crufts 2014!

Yesterday, my humans left me at home (meanies...) to go to the biggest dog show in the world, Crufts! The show seems to get better and better every year and this year it did not disappoint.

The humans started their brilliant day in the Main Arena where they caught the end of an agility competition and then a show they watch every year: the international Heelwork to Music Freestyle competition!
Agility...
And Heelwork to Music!
One of the impressive routines was performed to the Indiana Jones theme time- very entertaining, as you can imagine!
It was lovely to see a variety of breeds taking part in the doggie dancing competition. No Springers though...
Those concentration skills!

Lots of elaborate costumes, worn by both canines and humans!
Without doubt, the smallest competitor in the competition, dancing to Tom & Jerry!
This routine was done to a medley including music from Toy Story!

And the winner of the competition... Richard Curtis and his gorgeous doggie, representing England!

Following the Heelwork to Music, the humans watched a RAF Display which showed how they train and use the dogs to help them carry out their services.
The humans watched the semi-final and final of the Flyball competition and spotted quite a few crazy spaniels taking part!
A snoozing Great Dane in the Discover Dogs section...
Some of you readers may have learnt over the years that my humans have a serious love for the Southern Golden Retriever Display Team... Yep, they saw them perform AGAIN and the performance was fantastic!

After hours and hours of shopping, the humans had a quick bite to eat before heading back to the Main Arena for the final few competitions of the day. Firstly, they watched another international competition but this time it was an agility one. As you can see from the photos, the dogs (and humans!) ran so quickly that they were a blur!

The final competitions were arguably the most prestigious ones of the day: 'Best in Group' for the Toy and Utility breeds. Unfortunately, the humans were only able to watch one of the groups as they had a long drive home ahead of them but were thrilled to watch a STUNNING Standard Poodle claim the title of 'Best in Utility Group'. Look at that mane!
Last night, the whole family and I settled down to watch the final competition of Crufts 2014, 'Best in Show'. After a tough decision, the judge chose that very Poodle to win 'Best in Show'. A very deserving winner.

The humans had yet another amazing time at Crufts and cannot wait until next year. We're all really hoping for an English Springer to take home the title next year... Come on you Spannas!

My (Humans') Amazing Day at Crufts- Saturday 9th!

Yesterday, I wished my humans a good weekend (after trying to force the front door open so I could come) and off they drove to the third day of Crufts, the biggest dog show in the world!
First of all, they visited Samsung's stand as, man, it sounded incredible. And they weren't disappointed! The stand is huuuuge and, even though it was early, loads of people were trying out all of the awesome zones.
 It's designed like it's a house!
My humans chilled out on the awesome paw seats (my human wants one at home!) as they're barely any seats at Crufts; if you're tired from walking around today, visit the Samsung stand! At the same time, you can play on one of Samsung's brilliant gadgets.
At the stand, my humans were given loads of goodies such as deeley-boppers, badges and a lovely tote bag, handy for carrying all the things they bought.
One of the walls was decorated with a massive poster promoting the Help-A-Dog-A-Thon app which is aiming to help 2,000 dogs. At the moment, they're helping 1,648 dogs so keep playing it on Crufts' Facebook page as every dog 'adopted' = £1 for Blue Cross animal charity!

After having a great time at the Samsung stand, my humans came across a HUGE dog named Titch who works for charity Support Dogs and then went over to their stand to meet my good Twitter pals, @Cassie_Spaniel and @Hetty_BG. Unfortunately, they didn't see Hetty but they got a quick snap of Cassie snoozing!

Hopefully, my humans will get a snuggle from Hetty and Cassie today!
Afterwards, they went over to the Main Arena to watch the impressive International Heelwork To Music (Freestyle) competition. Woah, those dogs were good- even better than me...!

My humans then went for a quick lunch, queued to get back into the arena and then watched some fast-paced flyball. It was fun and lively, with my humans screaming for who they wanted to win!
They then watched two agility competitions which were great. Dad said 'That was the best competition I've watched!'

Then, my humans scurried over to the English Springer Spaniel ring to see the judge choose the winner but were too late! They did get a picture of the winner (on the left) and second and third positions though.
As my humans were exhausted, they didn't stay for the Gundog group judging though they really did want to! All of us were supporting the Springer but, unfortunately, they didn't win. He was lovely- how could the judge not have chosen him?! We know we would've ;)
Have a great day at Crufts if you're going today!

Crufts 2012- Saturday 10th March!

Hi everyone!
That's it, Crufts 2012 is all over! On 4 days on the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th March, 28,000 dogs competed at The NEC, Birmingham. My human went to Crufts for two days on the Saturday and Sunday (10th/11th March) and had a brilliant time! Unfortunately, I couldn't go... But there is always next year, isn't there?! Crufts is the World's biggest dog show and is therefore the place that all dog and dog owners want to get to! Here are some pictures of what the human did (without me...) while she was there on Saturday 10th March 2012...

As soon as the human arrived on the 10th, she made her way to the Main Arena to watch the International Heelwork To Music Freestyle competition. This is a picture of England's routine...
And the winner... France!
Afterwards, she watched a fantastic Agility competition where two dogs raced each other and then left the Main Arena and watched a show put on at the Eukanuba stand where there were three Harlequin Great Danes entertaining everyone!  They performed great tricks and played a few games! The human loved them!
Next, the human made her way back to the Main Arena and watched the BRILLIANT Southern Golden Retriever Display Team! She loves this team and watches them every time!

The human then headed to the Young Kennel Club Heelwork To Music Freestyle competition!

After doing a bit of shopping, (well, a LOT of shopping!) it was time to head back to the Main Arena to watch the Large International Agility Final, Flyball Team Final, Obedience Winners and the Working and Pastoral Group Judging!
The Pastoral Group Judging...
And the winner is... the Newfoundland!
I hope you enjoyed looking at the human's photos on Saturday 10th March! Sunday's photos will be uploaded very soon! Talk soon, Jasper x
