Fetch!

Hi there!
A very exciting thing has just happened- I am featured in the Young Kennel Club's magazine, Fetch! A couple of months ago, my human wrote to the YKC about my blog and Twitter account. As I have been having such an awesome time writing on both, I recommended to my human to let people know about having your own 'doggie blog' so that other members of the Kennel Club don't miss out on the fun! The YKC got back about my human's email and let her write a feature for Fetch and now the edition we are featured in has been published- aaah! It was so thrilling to see my photo and her feature in it; I still can't really believe it to be honest. But this wouldn't have happened if it hadn't been for all you out there. I really am so appreciative of all my followers on Twitter and my regular readers of the blog- thank you!
And... ONLY 6 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS! Merry Christmas everyone!

The holidays are coming...

Hi there!
Oh my paws, it's December! Only 21 days until one of the best days of the year... CHRISTMAS! Man, I am so excited! In addition, it's the human's birthday on Friday so I definitely need to start doing some shopping. Choosing human presents is extremely difficult as they are so fussy. I mean, I'm not fussy whatsoever! They give me the crusts (yep, only the crusts!) of their sandwiches and do I complain? No. So, with help from my Twitter folk, I have decided on what I'm going to get her: 1 sausage and a collar and lead. I can't wait to give it to her, especially the lead and collar. For a birthday treat, I'm going to take HER on a walk and constantly throw a ball when we get to the park so she gets to experience what I do everyday of the year. I am TOO kind, aren't I? And, as a result of my kindness, I am expecting great thing for Christmas!
 Here's my list:
1. A brand new, bouncy tennis ball
2. A Dublin Dog Roxxter toy
3. A snuggly bed
4. 5,000,000 sausages
5. Lots and lots of cuddles!

Food, calendars and Discover Dogs!

Hi there!
Only 1 month and 1 day until Christmas! Man, I'm excited. The past few months have been pretty hectic for me and looking forward it doesn't look much better... But I'm not fussed. I love to keep busy- it normally means I get lots of treats! At Discover Dogs, for example, lots of the stalls there had some of their doggie food on the floor in a bowl... Of course I'm going to go and eat it! If I'm lucky, they'll have wet food in there- mmm... DD was great again this year; I had such an amazing time. And I've finally had my hair cut! Ok, so I am a little chilly now but at least I'm looking a tiny bit smarter. Whilst I was at the biggest dog show in London, I had a photo shoot by some fancy photographers. There was a posh backdrop behind me and I had to pose in front of it, looking into the corner whilst standing up and not panting. A lot to ask? Definitely! 1. I wouldn't stand up. 2. I wouldn't stop panting. 3. I wouldn't face the corner. 4. The backdrop was very sniffable. 5. I wanted to snuggle the humans! Ah well, chances are I won't be in that calendar...! I'm not too fussed though. I had such an awesome time at Discover Dogs and the humans did buy me some treats so I'm happy.

Grooming!

Hi there,
I thought that I'd just let you all know that I've got a space in the Young Kennel Club grooming qualifier at Discover Dogs 2012! I can't wait to get my haircut... The human hasn't been able to clip it for ages as I need it nice and long for a more effective trim in the competition. Even more people are competing this year than 2011 so we're going to have our work cut out if we are to succeed. Don't worry everyone though- we are not expecting to qualify for the biggest dog show in the world, Crufts. The human has now been grooming me for a year so she has slightly improved but, erm, let's just say it probably won't be good enough to win. But we're not worried- I just want to be in Earls Court myself to experience what every dog-obsessed human gets to. On the 10th November, I am going to be in the YKC ring with my human at 10am so, if you're around, come along! I'm so excited... Only 19 days to go!

Discover Dogs 2012!

Hi there!
I'd just thought I'd remind you all that the biggest dog show in London is coming- Discover Dogs! Taking place on the 10-11th November at Earls Court 1, it is expecting to welcome over 26,000 visitors and 3,000 dogs. You may remember my DD posts from last year when I competed in two Crufts qualifiers, well, I'm planning on competing in another this year. Although my space hasn't been confirmed yet, I will probably find out this week whether I've got lucky and have a slot in the grooming qualifier at 10am in the Young Kennel Club ring on the Saturday! I'm very excited and, as the humans didn't get me much for my Birthday, I should be getting lots of toys from the fantastic stalls that will be there- there's loads!

Over 200 different breeds of dogs will be waiting for you to discover in only 26 days and, with under 12s getting FREE entry, bring all the family for a dog-full weekend! The show will be open from 10am-5pm each day and over the two days there promises to be: the ultimate dog sport, agility; fantastic heelwork to music routines; fast-paced flyball and loads of amazing displays by teams such as the incredible Southern Golden Retriever Display Team! As the deer become more protective of their young, I thought I'd upload the photos of my most recent photo shoot in the park as now all doggies are not allowed off lead- boo! I guess it's for the best though as I wouldn't want a deer chasing me across the massive park! Here are some of them:

My 7th Birthday!

Hi there,
on the 8th (Monday), I turned 7 years old! Man, I feel ooold: 49 years makes me the oldest member of my household... But I'm not worrying; as long as I'm my usual self (which the humans say is mad and hyper!) then I'm alright! The humans have not yet given me any presents so although I'm not too happy with them, they have said they'll be with me at the weekend and they DID treat me to a meaty meal for dinner- mmm...
And, unlike today, it didn't rain- woop woop!
